Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of eleven players each, on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The primary objective of the game is to score by getting a spherical ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players (except for the goalkeepers) primarily use their feet to maneuver the ball, although they can use any part of their body except their arms and hands. Football is known for its global popularity and is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game. Matches are usually divided into two halves, and the team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. Football is also referred to as soccer in some countries, particularly the United States and Canada, to distinguish it from other sports that involve the term “football,” such as American football and rugby football.
